We start our exciting journey heading south of the Blue Mountains past the Southern Highlands. Our Destination lies on the edge of the Snowy Mountains.
DAY 2 – 3:
Those up early will have time to fly into Temora to explore the amazing Warbirds Museum most of which are still flying. Flying east we reach a World Heritage National park. On the guided tour of the park you will learn about the ancient archaeological and culture history of the land.
DAY 4 – 5: We head North West to a city forged from mining and visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Then look West to the mighty Flinders Ranges as they rise upwards. Take plenty of photos from the air and ground as the guided driving tour takes you up the steep tracks and into the mountains
DAY 6: Fill up the fuel tanks and water bottles as we head into the Outback, skirting the Tirari Desert. Behold the enormous white Salt lakes which yield incredible colours. Get ready to meet the characters of the Outback as you spend the night in a true mining town. But what is so special about these hotels?
DAY 7 – 8: With exploration in your veins you venture on across the Great Victorian Desert, scanning the horizon for the Monolith that is Uluru (Ayers Rock). Time to rest those wings on a guided ground tour and enjoy evening drinks watching the sun set over the rock. A truely amazing spectacle never to be forgotten
DAY 9: You explored it from the ground, now tour Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the air. Head North and look for the falls of Kings Canyon on your way to Alice Springs.
DAY 10: Ready your aircraft as we head out over the vast expanse of the Simpson Desert. Is that a green Sports Field in the middle of nowhere? Taxi up to the pub to learn about the annual horse races out here in the desert.
DAY 11 – 12: Time to get your cowboy hat on and rustle up some cattle during your farm stay. Chat to the real country farmers and learn about life working the land. Croosing back into NSW we explore a country town with a difference, combining mining, jewellery and sculpture to give this place a wacky reputation.
DAY 13 – 14: Head into the Great Dividing Range for a little rest and recreation. Beautiful scenery, fine wines and exquisite food to keep you smiling. Perhaps a tour of the vineyards to sample the best wines of the region?
DAY 15: Well rested we head east over the Great Dividing Range to the Hunter Valley region and the Central Coast. Following the lakes and beaches we see Sydney on the Horizon as we cross the great Hawkesbury River. The Sydney metro area swarms out below us as we prepare for our final landing. – An amazing journey! Where should we go next?
